How Dubcrates works
The deal
Dubcrates is a monthly music drop. Independent artists submit brand-new tracks all month; on the 1st the crate opens and subscribers download whatever they like, free. When you download a track, your email address is shared with that track's artist - that's the whole business model. You get free music; artists get a direct line to people who actually wanted their track.
One month only
Each crate is live for exactly one calendar month, then it closes. Artists choose whether their tracks stay in the archive afterwards. Premium subscribers ($5/month) can dig through every archived crate.
Original music only
Every upload runs through audio analysis - BPM, key and genre detection - plus an acoustic fingerprint check against the MusicBrainz database. Matches against released music are blocked automatically, so the crate stays original: no rips, no remixes of copyrighted material.
For artists
Upload one file. The analysis fills in the details; you confirm and you're in next month's crate. You see every download, and you get the email of every listener who took your track - your mailing list grows with every crate. Submit a track →
